Alpine: Giant Slalom (GS)
Freestyle: Slopestyle, Halfpipe, Boardercross
Racers do not have to compete in all of the events in their discipline, but they can participate in as many events and as many disciplines as they desire.
Racing is by no means required! About 75 members of VASST participate each year. However, if you are interested in racing it is highly encouraged and a great way to get more involved with the team. Experience is absolutely not an issue, only one member of Exec raced before college! If you'd like to race, ask the Captain of your respective discipline for more information or about any questions you may have.

The USCSA 2013 National Competition was hosted in Sun Valley, Idaho, and while all four disciplines qualified, Men's Skiers and both Snowboarding teams made the trip to Idaho. Most boarders roadtripped from Charlottesville to Idaho (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) The slopes were great, Mitch shattered his glasses, the skiers ran GS in a blizzard, and everyone repped the Durty South extra hard!
