In the time that has pasted since October, all 4 teams qualified for Nationals in Sun Valley, ID, a new Executive Board was elected, and VASST will be gettin' down with horses next weekend!

Additionally, Mitchell Oliver is no longer on Exec (WHAT?!?!?!) and finally turned 21, something everyone assumed happened 3 years ago.

Additionally, VASST will be holding an end of the year BBQ at 320 to say goodbye to Fourth Years on the last day of classes, April 30th at 5pm. Stay tuned to emails for more info on that as well!

The doors are going to open at 7pm, show will start around 8pm in the Chemistry Auditorium, and then we'll be heading back to the haus as a unit for additional activities on Friday night!

The price is $10 now, and the online ticket sales will close 24 hours before the film, so be sure to request a ticket before then. When you show up at the film, we will cross your name off the list, give you your raffle ticket, and wristband for post-movie gathering.

Sign Ups- Sunday September 16, Maury 109 @ 7pm

Here is a link that will explain the sign-up process. Fill out the registration form and bring it to sign-ups. You will also need to bring $199 (in cash or check) or pay $210 with a debit/credit card. There is a discounted rate for the Teton Gravity Research film screening at sign-ups ($8 at signups or $10 online). We will be having a second sign-up session the next sunday so do not stress if this time does not work for you! 

Come out tonight September 5th and tomorrow September 6th for our official info sessions to learn  more about who we are, what we do, and when you can sign up! If you need more convincing than that just hear what our secretary Dylan Hoos has to say: "This club, The Virginia Alpine Ski and Snowboard Team (VASST) is undeniably the best club at UVaand has more fun than any other clubs with or without snow."

So unless you were searching for the Virginia Acrobatic Synchronized Swimming Team, then you're  probably interested in joining the biggest, baddest, and raddest club that UVA has to offer. We're stoked that you're here and we would love to meet you so be on the lookout for more information to come. The best place to find out what we're all about is at the ACTIVITIES FAIR on MONDAY, AUGUST 27TH (just look for the girls in bikinis and speedsuits).

IMPORTANT!  You missed the first deadline, so there is a late fee of $50.  Sign up before Thanksgiving to avoid an additional $50!

There's a few steps, so hold on tight:

1. Before you go:
   1. Make sure that you've filled out the Online Information on the "Sign Up" page, if it's submitted properly it will display a confirmation.
   2. Print the VASST 2012 Registration form, and fill that out.
   3. Write a check for dues (dues are $199, but don't forget to add your late fees), made out to "VASST."  (If you'd like a ticket to our movie, write "PBP Ticket" on your registration and add $8 to your check.  If you'd like to pre-order one of our awesome new hoodies, write "team hoodie" on your registration and add $35 to your check)
2. Take everything to the Student Activities Center (SAC) in the basement of Newcomb.  Our mailbox is #333, you'll find everything else that you need in there.  Their hours are 10am-5pm Mon-Fri, so be sure to schedule accordingly.  
   1. Sign the Club Sport Waiver (on one of the six lines) and fill out the VASST Liability waiver.
   2. Staple (ask the front desk for a stapler) the VASST Liability Waiver, your Registration, and your Check together and place them in the big yellow envelope.

You're done, get ready for the best year ever!
